Casual Attraction: Labor Day

Its back to work for some of ya'll, not me I'm off today lol!  Yesterday was Labor Day and I did more than I expected.  My first plans were to go to my mama house to eat all of her ribs, my grandma house for potato salad (she forgot to slice the eggs on top though lol), and to my boyfriends grandma house for dressing and to check on her since my boyfriends' dad passed on Thursday :(.  I eventually got a chance to do all of my plans but in the meantime I met up with my cousin and we went to her dads' house for a BBQ/Birthday party (Virgos in the house)!  I hadn't seen my uncle in sooooo long and he is crazier than ever but I had a great time!

I love how this picture came out! My lens was still foggy unbeknowst me, so it gave it this cloudy effect.

I have had this romper for about 5 months and decided to pull it out my closet! I'm so glad I did because it was so freakin hot and this romper is light and flowy.

For some reason I had an itch to blow out my hair.  Lawd I love it so much my fro fell into place on its own, so that lets me know my ends are not as raggedy as I thought.  Also on tomorrow I will not only be celebrating my 27th birthday but my post relaxer anniversary as well!  Two years ago to the day I got my last perm, which wasn't a full perm but a halo.

BFSC: Wear a Maxi Skirt or Dress

I have almost completed the BFSC hosted by Jennifer of jasiferlionsclub !  Today I decided to scratch the maxi skirt off of my list.  Maxi dresses/skirts are a must have for the spring and summer!  I have posted before featuring my fave black maxi skirt but I decided to rock something new out of my closet and here you have it!

HOTD: Ends Clipped

I got my ends clipped Friday! Here is my hair straightened and cut into a style. I freakin love it, yes Gawdd its thebomb.com lol! I wonder how long its gonna last, I'm gonna see if I can get at least 2 weeks out of it.

My hair has become a main attraction lol I havent done a OOTD in a few weeks smh.

HOTW:Beautiful Textures

So I heard about this new product line called Beautiful Textures and decide since it was on the less expensive side I would give it a go!  Below you will see me rocking my week old flat twist.  I cowashed last Thursday and used the Beautiful Textures Leave-In Conditioner and Moisture Butter.  My hair loved this stuff and I didn't have to use that much product, which is a plus!  At night i would redo my flat twist using only my water bottle and in the mornings I would add my oil of choice if need be.

I opened my sunroof so yall could get the full effect of my popping curls and color!

So what do yall think? I think the products are a winner.  I also purchased the Defining Pudding and I'll review that one when I try it out next week!

HOTD: Lazy Sunday

Lazy Sunday didn't feel like flat twisting my hair the night before!  I went to bed no satin pillow case, head scarf or satin cap.  I woke up some curls still intact and a 2 page paper to finish (1st week of my 5th graduate class and I hate it already lol)! Finished up the paper, watched the last half of the Laker/Heat game (#TeamKobe/Lakers boo), took a shower and headed to my mom's for Sunday dinner.  I figured whats the point of putting on clothes if my hair is not combed lol, so i threw on a tank, sweats, flip flops and my Jessica Simpson shades (fierce even when I'm lazy hunty).  Pushed my baby into a puff through on some Revlon Pink in the Afternoon Lipstick and I was out...

HOTD: Birthday Party

I took Big Red to a birthday party so this will just be a quick post of my hair of the day! I got my roots touched up about a week and a half ago.  I decided to pamper my baby this week, I deep conditioned with honey and different oils.  After deep conditioning I added a small amount of Shea Moistures Moisture Milk to each section and flat twisted each.  Once the twist were dry I took them down with Carol's Daughter Mimosa Hair Honey. Last night before I went to bed I retwisted only using my spray bottle filled with water.  Below is the end results and I love it, my hair is so soft and fierce hunny lol!

Big Chop Jan. 15, 2011

The color was the result of a dye job.  I told the chick i wanted streaks instead she dyed the top of my head blonde, it was pretty but it looked like a hi-top fade lol.  I dyed it with 3 rinses and got the color you see to try and blend the sides and top.

In order to BC you have to definitely own it, I was owning it!

The Transition

I got my last relaxer on Sept. 5th 2009 which was also my 25th bday! I only transitioned for about 4 months then i big chopped! Check out some of my hairstyles below...

Perm Days

Hey babies! I hope your New Year is jumping off to a great start!  As you may know I am a newly natural and my 1 year BC anniversary is Jan. 15th!  I'm so excited this has been and will continue to be a great journey.  I have had more highs than lows with this journey, well my only low was my BF not liking it at first but it has "grown" on him lol.  So leading up to my anniversary I will be posting pictures from my journey, YAY!  Without further ado here are a few pics from my permed days, as you can see i have always loved blonde and I was and still am a fan on short/pixie cuts.

Lol look at Big Red-Her hair was relaxed but since I started my journey we (me, my mom and sister) are helping her transition! I'm so excited because her original curl pattern is coming back.  She is not too excited about a BC so we have decided to just transition her to a length she is comfortable with.
