HOTD: Birthday Party

I took Big Red to a birthday party so this will just be a quick post of my hair of the day! I got my roots touched up about a week and a half ago.  I decided to pamper my baby this week, I deep conditioned with honey and different oils.  After deep conditioning I added a small amount of Shea Moistures Moisture Milk to each section and flat twisted each.  Once the twist were dry I took them down with Carol's Daughter Mimosa Hair Honey. Last night before I went to bed I retwisted only using my spray bottle filled with water.  Below is the end results and I love it, my hair is so soft and fierce hunny lol!

Happy Mardi Gras!

Today brought the end of another Mardi Gras Season! Contrary to popular belief Mardi Gras was originated by my city Mobile, Alabama!  Below are a pics of my family and I at the Mardi Gras parade.  We had too much fun hustlin for bears, cups, and boxes of moon pies lol!

Happy Valentine's Day

Love was in the air today and I definitely enjoyed myself.  My baby arrived home from work Monday evening just in time for Valentine's Day but is leaving out Wednesday night for a new job.  We decided to do something different this year instead of a dinner date we went to a poetry  and spoken word show.  It was amazing and we had a great time.  Since it was Valentine's Day I decided to wear my red pants I purchased a while ago.  When I tried them on for the first time they didn't fit ( I needed to lose a few pounds/inches), so I was very nervous to try them on again and wonder if they would fit! 60th Birthday Party!

What a somber weekend it has been especially with the passing of Whitney Houston.  I was getting ready for a birthday party when my mom told me the news, my prays are with her family especially her baby.  As this post states I went to a 60th birthday party for one of my coworkers.  It was a pretty nice event with a black, red, and white theme because he is a Kappa.  Here is what I wore...

Hornet Night!

This pass weekend I attended a scholarship pageant with my mom and sister at a local high school the theme was Hornet Night.  It was awesome seeing all of the young ladies show case their talents (some were great others not so much! lol).  The winner did a song and dance from the Disney movie The Princess and the Frog, it was so cute!
